ILLINOIS ADVENTURE traveled to Shirley just south of Bloomington to visit the Funk Prairie Home and learn about the family that left an indelible mark on our history and on agriculture worldwide. The program, hosted by Jim Wilhelm, also visited the Funk Gem Rock and Mineral Museum, looked at an impressive and ever-changing collection of Corvette cars, and traveled to Cedarville, the birth town and last resting place of social work pioneer Jane Addams, the founder of Chicago's Hull House.
