Viewers travel to Grand Detour to visit the John Deere Historic Site, see a replica of Deere's first Illinois shop, and learn how Deere opened the prairie with his new steel plow. The program, hosted by Jim Wilhelm, also looks at the statues at Lincoln's Tomb in Springfield, travels to the McLean County Historical Museum in Bloomington to see a small home-built plane that once set several speed records, and visits the Lorado Taft Museum in Elmwood.
