Illinois Adventure continues its 17th season by following in the footsteps of Lincoln's early years in Illinois, beginning at the New Salem State Historic site near Petersburg. The half-hour program, hosted by Jim Wilhelm, also takes a stroll through the middle of a cypress swamp at Heron Pond at Belknap, learns about a controversy associated with a tavern, and tours one of the grand mansions - Belvedere Mansion and Gardens in Galena.
